QR Code Analytics

To get the most out of your QR Code Analytics is to use an analytics program like Google analytics. While some programs provide minimal statistics, there is a better way to get some great QR Code Analytics.

Our dynamic software provides the basics such as number of scans, unique and repeat scans, device and country scanned plus media used. We use a system called UTM.

Importance of UTM codes

“UTM” stands for “Urchin tracking module.”  Urchin Software Corporation was acquired by Google in 2005, and their software laid the groundwork for what we now know as Google Analytics.

UTM codes are small text snippets added to links that provide Google Analytics and other tools with valuable tracking information. They are easy to apply to both static and dynamic QR Codes, though using a link shortener for static QR Codes helps reduce complexity. Watch the video to learn more!

URL Campaign Builder

This tool allows you to easily add campaign parameters to URLs so you can measure Custom Campaigns in Google Analytics.

By adding campaign parameters to the destination URLs you use in your ad campaigns, you can collect information about the overall efficacy of those campaigns, and also understand where the campaigns are more effective.

For example, your Summer Sale campaign might be generating lots of revenue, but if you’re running the campaign in several different social apps, you want to know which of them is sending you the customers who generate the most revenue. If you’re running different versions of the campaign via email, video ads, and in-app ads, you can compare the results to see where your marketing is most effective.

When a user clicks a referral link, the parameters you add are sent to QR Code Analytics, and the related data is available in the Campaigns reports.

Just by learning about UTM links you can also improve your marketing and advertising strategies.

We have quite a few customers that come and say their QR Code is not working yet all they did was print it on a flyer and left it at the front door.

It is like putting one add in the radio, TV, magazine etc. It is not going to work. The beauty of the QR Code is it can go on your products, invoices, envelopes and a whole range of places.

QR Codes For All Types Of Uses

I get a call a lot of times during the week with people in Australia wanting to know more about QR Codes so let’s sort it out for you.

Two Types of QR Codes.  They are Static QR Codes and Dynamic QR Codes.

Static QR Codes

A Static QR Code is generated with a fixed destination that cannot be edited or changed after creation. It does not provide analytics and is typically free to create, making it ideal for permanent links, such as business information. If you only need a QR Code that always directs users to the same place, this is a great option. Try our free Static Code Generator!

Dynamic QR Codes

A Dynamic QR Code is created through a database, allowing you to update the destination anytime while also providing valuable analytics. To get yours, subscribe to our Dynamic QR Codes Solution today!
